On Value

"The system of national accounts recognises no value other than money, regardless of how that money is made", Marilyn Waring.

I agree with Marilyn, money doesn't value what matters, so I say why not just give people an income and make the technological products available so they can choose them? Then they can use their leisure to do other things, to learn, to create and to share those creations.

Who's Counting – Marilyn Waring on Sex, Lies and Global Economics (1995). This is a powerful film, it will make you think on the nature of value. Well worth watching (94mins).
